Hi Everyone,

Today I thought of doing a post on a skin care product I have used for a few weeks now and am enjoying. It is not a new product but new to me as I have not used it before 😉

It is the Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask – I love this for a pamper evening or to be used before a night out to liven up and brighten your skin, as its so relaxing and your skin feels super clean after. I must say though be sure to keep it on only for the recommended 5 mins as longer may be too drying for mature skin. Also, I need to put on a good moisturiser after, to give my skin some moisture back.

After washing if of my skin does look brighter and tighter!!..hahahaha… I think mature skin will tend to feel dry after washing it off but nothing a good moisturiser cannot help.

It does not have a strong fragrance which is one of it plus points.

The Body Shop claims are

This cleansing mask for all skin types warms on contact with wet skin. It leaves skin clean and revitalised.
Weekly treatment

Yes, I agree it feels so good as it warms up on contact with wet skin.. so its ideal after a shower to clean and revitalise skin.

Oil-absorbing, yes my skin did feel dry as I said earlier after washing off the mask.

Weekly treatment- If you have oily skin then this would be a great mask to absorb the excess oil and would also work on combination skin (which I have).. but if you have dry skin then this may be too drying for your skin.

Hope this review was helpful, incase you are looking out for a good cleansing mask this is great 😉

Have a great week ahead!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all doing fine!.. Today is a great day out here in Hong kong, its bright, sunny with a slight nip in the air which makes it perfect weather for me 😉

Todays post is a casual outfit worn to go for a day out in Central which is on Hong kong island. I love going there for the food and shopping. Yesterday we went to the IFC mall which is definitely one of the more fancy malls here in Hongkong,.. I could walk around Lane Crawford with its vast array of designer brands..oohing and aaahing over the Christian Louboutin and Valentino shoes, sighing over Balenciaga!! and the fun part is there is also Zara and Accessorize and quite a  few other affordable stores that make this one of my favourite malls in Central.

We had lunch at this trendy Italian place that had parma ham sandwiches and Procesco and the most delicious tiramisu.

I did get some skin care items from Mannings and a pair of TOMS..which I have been wanting to get for ages and ages..infact the whole family got a pair each..;-)

1. Dune Deather Slouchy Tassel Bag – love the colour and its very roomy so it can fit a laptop and lots of other stuff;-) .. its not real leather though and the price is a bit steep but I love the finish and its a great colour for summer!!..available here

2. Love Moschino Cut Out Heart Shopper Bag with Detachable Pouch in Pink,- I love this bag again because of the colour! ;-), also its great if you need to carry lots of stuff around.. and it comes with a removable zipper pouch!!.. available here

3. Lipsy Circle Cut Out Slouch Hobo– This bag is a great neutral colour and stylish at the same time!.. also, big enough to be a day bag or office bag. I like the style and colour of this bag and its easy to match with any outfit which is always a plus! available here

Hi Everyone,

Yes, yes I know its Thursday and not Monday!!.. sigh.. but I didn’t have time on Monday to do this post and before I knew it, its Thursday.. go figure!!.

Anyhoo, I have been wanting to do this post, its about a  foundation I have been loving after using it quite a few times now..it does take getting used to I will admit but after you figure it out.. its GREAT! Hmm.. by the title you will know the one I’m going to talk about..its the Mac Face and Body foundation and my shade is C5.

Now I read and heard so many good reviews about this foundation, its dewy, sheer, buildable, looks great in photographs.. that I was super excited to try it out. And I had been loving NARS sheer glow for quite some time.. so much so I even got a second bottle after I finished my first one.. and I still do love it.

My first impression when I got it and poured a bit on the back of my hand.. WHAT ??.. it was much runnier than any of my other foundations and I was a bit taken aback.. and after trying it on I thought hmmm.. it looks good but not enough coverage.. you need to have really good skin for this foundation. But, then I went online to look at how people used it and realised, OK so I can build it up to the coverage I am satisfied with.. duh! yes, sorry sometimes I need to be spoon fed!.

Now once you do that you can get a pretty good coverage, many apply it with their fingers but I use the sephora No.45 brush with it and get pretty good coverage and I also like the way it looks in the end. I swirl the product to buff it into my skin. I also use a setting powder as it can look a bit shiny on my nose and forehead.

Love it because..

1. Its sheer and so light that you feel you don’t have foundation on.

2. Its dewy and looks lovely in photographs.

3. Its great as a day time foundation as it look very natural and not cakey at all.

4. I also feel it does not break me out as my skin has taken to it pretty well.

5. Love the texture now that I used it a few times and feel comfortable with it.

Its a lovely foundation and if you’re like me and were contemplating getting it.. I think its great and you should give it a go.

Have a great week everyone .. it’s almost friday.. yay! Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great weekend.. it’s been a long week of holidays for us here in Hk due to the celebration of the Chinese New Year!.. its the year of the Goat and lets hope it brings us all good health, good luck and good fortune!!

The weather today is extremely pleasant for this time of year.. it is usually very cold during the days of Chinese New Year but this year it is a lovely, warm day. I decided to wear my green shift dress bought at Zara a few years ago,  I can throw this one on for any occasion and feel comfy in, because of its loose fit. It does make me look a little bigger than I am due to the loose fit .. which is not that great, but its great to feel super comfortable in, and if going to a day wedding or tea with friends at a fancy restaurant this would be ideal so that you could be super comfy and enjoy the time out without having to worry about any bumps showing 😉

The shoes I got at Zara, and they are available in silver and black.. ooh, I think they are great for anyone who cannot wear those super high heels and want to look trendy but still be comfortable.

Outfit details-

Dress- Zara (old) similar available here and here

Shoes- Zara , similar available here also, the ones I am wearing are currently available at Zara but I cannot seem to be able to link them right now.. will try again later.

Clutch- Very old, bought at a local boutique in HK. love this one here

Necklace – Old, bought at F21, similar available here

Hello Again,

Another recent purchase I am loving and wanted to share on my blog is the NARS blush in Amour. Its a beautiful Pinky Coral shade.. and I am loving it!.

This is described as a ‘Peachy Pink’ shade.. but to me its more pinkish coral than peachy.. it definitely looks more pinkish than peach on my skin tone. I still love it though as its great for those of us who dont want too much shimmer or shine in their blushes as its got a matt finish.. even though, I do love some shine in my blushes at times.;-) .. especially for a night time look. This blush is matt though and is very easy to work with. Great for day wear too because of its matt texture.  You can first add just a little to see how it works and build it up if you need more colour.

It is the one on the right ;-)..

I have on Mac’s Mocha lipstick, in this picture. This blush would go well with your pinky red lipsticks as well as with nude or even darker maroons too.

Have a great week all.

Hi Everyone,

I have been on the hunt for a bronzer for ages and ages… I used to use NARS lovejoy blush as a kind of bronzer but it was kind of shimmery and not the best product for bronzing. Then came the day I found this Indian Makeup artist called Eltonjfernandez on Youtube and my hunt ended..after watching some of his videos I decided to get the NARS bronzer in Casino and Wooohoo, lets just say its the end to my hunt for that great bronzer!!..it works perfectly on my skin tone and I would recommend it to anyone with a skin tone similar to mine or even a bit darker.

I match up to an NC42 in Mac, so that is a kind of reference to my skin tone.

This is a picture that I took from the NARS website as I couldn’t get the exact colour on my camera.

This bronzer is

1. Great for Indian/darker skin tones

2. Great pigmentation and not shimmery or shiny. It has a very slight shimmer but nothing that you cannot use in the day time.

3. Will last for really long as its quite a lot of product.

The price point is high.. but if you’re looking to buy something really worth its money and also it will last really really long.. I have a couple of Nars blushes I bought quite a while ago and still use them so I don’t regret paying that extra amount for this product.

Got a pic wearing it..

I have on Macs pencil liner in Burgundy and just filled it onto my lips ;-)..
