I have wanted to talk about these two makeup products I bought on my trip to India recently. Both are great purchases and I am happy I got them. The BB cream was a recommendation from my sister as she had read good reviews about it. and the lipstick was just me being my usual impulsive self.. cannot-resist-lipsticks!!!!.
The first one I shall talk about is the one I am loving at the moment and dreading running out of!! the Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm (BB) in 001 Vanilla Creme .. this is a great match if you any where between a Mac Nc40/42 -44 even I think as it blends into the skin extremely well leaving a smooth soft finish with sheer coverage. I love this product for the summer time as its light and matt, and does not cake up in the sweltering heat. I think when choosing the shade for you in this .. look at the tone of your skin if its warm or cool.. the Vanilla creme is a nice warm tone and even though looks a little light when applied at first blends very well into the skin.
The coverage is sheer and so you may have to use concealer on under eye circles or blemishes if you want to cover those. But it is ideal if you dont want a heavy, everyday foundation that feels great on the skin in the summer. Also, a plus for me is it seems to work very well with my skin and has not broken me out. I tend to be very cautious as my skin does tend to break out with many foundation products.
It also claims to be paraben free which is a great plus and has an SPF of 20.
It claims to hydrate, smoothen, protect and correct skin.. I agree with the first three but the last one.. cannot say I have found any major difference after using it in terms of correcting.
I always use moisturiser under any foundation so I would recommend using a moisturiser under this as well, unless you have very oily skin.. then you can try skipping that step.
I will be posting a picture of me with the BB cream and the lipstick I mention below.
The next product I bought at the same place is the The Colorbar Take me as I am lip colour in Mysterious Nude 006.
I was pleasantly surprised by the pigment or colour pay off of this lipstick.. I am not a fan of sheer lipsticks and mostly like ones that have a good amount of pigment.
The first swatch here is the lipstick I am talking about.
As you can see it is a lovely Peachy Nude, again ideal as an everyday lipstick in the summer..I tend to wear it with the Mac lipliner in Spice as I like it to be slightly darker than it is .. I feel it washes me out by itself.. but looks lovely with a slightly darker lipliner. (very sorry about the sorry state of my nails in the pic!! )
some of the features of this lipstick are –
– It has a soft sheen to it which give you a nice fresh look
– Is great for the summer and an everyday shade.
– Paraben free
– Has a creamy finish which again is great for the summer.
It is not extremely long lasting though due to the creamy texture, and will transfer but overall I am happy with it.
I also like that it comes with its own sharpener and you do not have to pay extra to get one.

Hope you found this helpful ladies.. check out the BB cream if you’re in India and the lipstick too.
The BB cream was around Rs.550 for 29 grms.. which sadly is not a whole lot of product but its not all that bad either 😉
The lipstick was Rs. 699/-
Hope this was helpful.. have a great week 😉
