Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a good week. Here in Hong Kong the weather is slowly starting to cool down, making it that perfect Autumn weather that is cool but not too cold.

I love this time of year and hope it stays like this for at least a couple of months ๐Ÿ˜‰

My outfit today was inspired by my striped dress that I wore in the summer but with tights and boots and a jacket is great for this time of year too.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well.. today I chose to do a blog post after a long break. Hope to do them more regularly.. but thats what I always think.

The outfit I chose is something you can wear to the mall to go shopping on a weekend, to pick up your kids from school, or a casual outing with your family.. its easy and super, super comfy!!.. my moto as I grow more ‘mature’ is to look cute while being super comfortable!!.

I chose my dress here from American Eagle Outfitters.. its a cotton, super stretchy and super comfortable dress that I can throw on and run out the door with sneakers or strappy sandals.. The vest is a layer to add warmth if its a bit windy or there is ย a slight nip in the air… for cooler temperatures you could wear this dress with a thicker jacket and tights and boots too.

I love this look as its super easy but still looks cute and sporty (in my opinion ๐Ÿ™‚ )

I decided to add my large tote as I was planning on going to the Mall after.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great summer. My summer was one to remember.. vacation and outdoor activities galore.. made for a tiring but fun summer.

Back in hong kong the weather seems to be still hot and humid and makes you want to put on shorts and a tee.. cotton and linen are my fabrics of choice here in this humid weather. I love just throwing on a cotton summer dress with sandals for casual outings.

I found this skirt at the sale section in Zara. It seemed perfect.. cotton and such a pretty colour.. But when I got back home trying to style it seemed quite a challenge. If you are slim and tall this would look perfect but with my 5’3″frame that is not that slim either, it was a challenge..;-). I found this shirt top at Zara, and instantly knew it was what I needed form my skirt.. its cropped, but not too high so it can still be tucked in.

Hope you feel inspired to try this trend.. the midi skirt.. I wore this on a night out for dinner and drinks.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all having a great Sunday!. Here in Hong kong the Sunday started with a thunderstorm warning, and yes there were thunderstorms.. but after 10;30 am changed to very hot weather warning.. and yes the weather outside is really HOT!!… So of course we decided to go to the mall and hang around and have lunch..which turned out to be Sushi. Now back home and with all that rice and soy sauce and fish.. I feel my eyelids starting to droop and I’m ready for an afternoon siesta! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Decided I’m going to do my blog post first though ;-)… The dress I chose today is one of my recent buys ย and I hope to get good use out of it this summer ;-). Its the most convenient and is literally a wash and wear kind of dress..so its great for travel, as it doesn’t crease or wrinkle and washes well.

I love the style and print of the dress.. I must be honest and say Maxi dresses are not my favourite in dress lengths as I am 5’3″ and so its not the most flattering.. as you will see I wore this dress with high heels to make up for that height and make me look taller and slimmer so the dress has a better silhouette!.

love this dress and since I ordered it from Macys online I was really hoping I would love it and it would fit right!

Outfit details

Dress- Macys cannot find the same one but this one here is very similar, also love this one.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all doing good.. I know in many parts of the world its the height of summer and some places still cool…but here in Hong Kong it seems like we are already very much into summer.. the weather is hot and humid and even though I love the summertime.. it can get a bit too hot to venture out without feeling like you need to put on sunblock, take your sunnies, take an umbrella and just all that bother is too much to make me want to go out in the day time..sigh.. I have been wanting to go to the beach forever and its five minutes away but it’s just too hot and the days seem to be passing too fast!!

Anyways, enough of the weather!!.. Today I had to attend a communion party and decided to go with my Zara dress.. I got this dress during fall or winter I think and so the colours are more suited to the fall time but its such a throw it on and go kinda dress that on a day like today it suited my need of just wearing something easy to throw on.

Also, since the party was indoors this dress was perfect as its always a bit cool in a hotel or restaurant and so I went with my choice. If it was an outdoor style party this dress may have been a tad bit uncomfortable.. but enough said .. I enjoyed wearing this dress today.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am sorry but these are the photos I took indoors and they have not come out very clear.. Hope to get better pics next time ;-(

Also, I wanted to carry a matching clutch but the weather needed me to carry stuff like sunnies, umbrella etc so I needed a bag that could fit all that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Outfit details

Dress – Zara, love this one for a daytime party

Shoes- Local store in Hong kong, love these ones here

Bag- My LV Neverfull PM, this clutch is ideal for a day party

Watch- My trusty Swatch, Bangle- Old one bought years ago, Rings- my wedding band and an old gold ring also bought ages ago, Earrings- Sorry but these too were bought so long ago..I dont even remember where from!!

Hope you all have a great week ahead!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all having a nice weekend. Here in Hong Kong the weather is kind of undecided at the moment.. it rains and its hot and its sunny and its dull and then it pours down !!.. humid and hot and rainy.. not the perfect combination ๐Ÿ™

I decided to do an outfit post that is great for vacation ย and also on those days when you want something cute and casual that is comfortable for this kind of weather. I am loving light coloured cotton clothes at the moment to combat the hot and humid weather… this top I got from Mango stole my heart at first glance!!..I think with the right kind of jewellery this outfit would also be a great outfit for a music festival!! ..hahahaha.. not that I am going for any.

Very sorry about my knobbly toes!..eek …but wanted to show you my sandals.. got them a few months ago .. love them for the summer!!.. metallic is so in for the summer especially in accessories and these kind of sandals go with almost everything in my summer wardrobe!

My bag I got at a Coach outlet and it was 40% off.. I was super excited as this bag is something I had my eye on for ages.. its a wonderful colour and the perfect size to carry as a cross body when on vacation or just on an ordinary day.. I absolutely love it!!. Its not current season definitely so check in the outlet stores..this particular one I found in the Coach Outlet shop at the mall in Tung Chung, HK.

Hi Everyone,

Todays post is once again a summer outfit .. this one is beach appropriate and would also look good as vacation wear.. its a simple white dress that you can throw on when in a hurry or just want something cool and summery to wear.

I found this one at F21 in India.. I love white, cotton and cotton lace so this dress just screamed out to me as soon as I saw it. Also its so easy to wear with flip flops or even summer sandals and a nice large tote ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes you can see my photographer – (My husband ) in my sunnies ! ๐Ÿ™‚

This tote is such a lovely one I got at H&M.. love it! ย you can take it ย just about anywhere.. it has such a cool summer vibe.

Hi Everyone,

Finally I got to post an outfit post.. yay!.. it’s a beautiful hot and sunny day out here in Hong kong.. I love the summer though, so cannot complain!

I got this dress the other day at H&M and am loving it for the upcoming summer months and wanted to do this post so you can look for it or something similar.. I love cotton, linen and prints for the summer.. well this dress is not cotton on linen but has a wonderful summery colour and print and so I thought about it for a while and decided to get it .. its in a soft crepe kind of material with a synthetic lining. Not as breathable as cotton or linen but comfortable.

This dress instantly took me back to summertime in India.. colourful, bright and sunny!!.. reminded me of mangoes and running in the sun and playing with friends.. just a fun dress that I couldn’t resist.. hope you enjoy the post and feel inspired to go look for this or something similar that reminds you of summertime as a child when you would wear a dress and play with your friends, or blow bubbles or what ever you loved as a kid!!.

lots of love and have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I have wanted to talk about these two makeup products I bought on my trip to India recently. Both are great purchases and I am happy I got them. The BB cream was a recommendation from my sister as she had read good reviews about it. and the lipstick was just me being my usual impulsive self.. cannot-resist-lipsticks!!!!.

The first one I shall talk about is the one I am loving at the moment and dreading running out of!! the Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm (BB) in 001 Vanilla Creme .. this is a great match if you any where between a Mac Nc40/42 -44 even I think as it blends into the skin extremely well leaving a smooth soft finish with sheer coverage. I love this product for the summer time as its light and matt, and does not cake up in the sweltering heat. I think when choosing the shade for you in this .. look at the tone of your skin if its warm or cool.. the Vanilla creme is a nice warm tone and even though looks a little light when applied at first blends very well into the skin.

The coverage is sheer and so you may have to use concealer on under eye circles or blemishes if you want to cover those. But it is ideal if you dont want a heavy, everyday foundation that feels great on the skin in the summer. Also, a plus for me is it seems to work very well with my skin and has not broken me out. I tend to be very cautious as my skin does tend to break out with many foundation products.

It also claims to be paraben free which is a great plus and has an SPF of 20.

It claims to hydrate, smoothen, protect and correct skin.. I agree with the first three but the last one.. cannot say I have found any major difference after using it in terms of correcting.

I always use moisturiser under any foundation so I would recommend using a moisturiser under this as well, unless you have very oily skin.. then you can try skipping that step.

I will be posting a picture of me with the BB cream and the lipstick I mention below.

The next product I bought at the same place is the The Colorbar Take me as I am lip colour in Mysterious Nude 006.

I was pleasantly surprised by the pigment or colour pay off of this lipstick.. I am not a fan of sheer lipsticks and mostly like ones that have a good amount of pigment.

The first swatch here is the lipstick I am talking about.

As you can see it is a lovely Peachy Nude, again ideal as an everyday lipstick in the summer..I tend to wear it with the Mac lipliner in Spice as I like it to be slightly darker than it is .. I feel it washes me out by itself.. but looks lovely with a slightly darker lipliner. (very sorry about the sorry state of my nails in the pic!! )

some of the features of this lipstick are –

It has a soft sheen to it which give you a nice fresh look
– Is great for the summer and an everyday shade.
– Paraben free
– Has a creamy finish which again is great for the summer.

It is not extremely long lasting though due to the creamy texture, and will transfer but overall I am happy with it.

I also like that it comes with its own sharpener and you do not have to pay extra to get one.

Mac’s lipliner in SPICE and Colorbar Take me as I am lipcolour in Mysterious Nude 006.

Hope you found this helpful ladies.. check out the BB cream if you’re in India and the lipstick too.

The BB cream was around Rs.550 for 29 grms.. which sadly is not a whole lot of product but its not all that bad either ๐Ÿ˜‰

The lipstick was Rs. 699/-

Hope this was helpful.. have a great week ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a great day.. I was inspired to write a post after doing some damage at the Burberry counter yesterday. I got two lipsticks and one eye liner.

The two lipsticks are very similar in shade but different in texture.. one is a soft satin and one a long wearing matt. They do not look too summery, but I loved the look on my skin tone and decided to get them.

the packaging of the lipsticks are a bit bulky but very luxurious..

The soft satin comes in shiny, metal looking packaging (although it is plastic I think and not very heavy) and the matt one came in a sleek matt packaging.

These are the two colours.. Soft Satin lipstick in Sepia No.12 and Matt lip velvet in No.304 Redwood.

The Soft satin lipstick in Sepia No.12 is a beautiful sheer brownish red on me.. it looks more mauve in the tube.. I like it on me as it is a colour, after I applied it looked very nice even without a lipliner. It is not as long lasting though because of the satin finish and more of a day lipstick for me.

I like this colour a lot and feels hydrating on the lips.. I used it for a few hours yesterday and so cannot give you a full review.

Also, I got the Redwood No 304 in a lovely plummy brown shade.. its great for the evening or a night time event. It is smooth and very velvety on the skin ;-).. Again, I cannot give you a full review as I only wore it a few hours this morning. I do like the shade and the opaqueness of the lipstick though.

Yes the two shades are very similar but different in texture and look.. I like the first one for an everyday look.. and the Redwood would be a great night time lipstick.

I also got an eye liner in the shade midnight ash No. 03, this is a dark greyish/green shade I have worn it in the pictures..it is not very creamy though and although not as dark as a black… is a nice shade to create an under eye shadow. Not much to say on that as its a very generic kind of eye pencil. Nothing very impressive but a nice shade if you dont have something like that.

Hope you all having a great day and hope this helps to see the colours on my skin tone incase you were looking for similar shades. sorry I cannot tell you too much about the staying power of each lipstick as I have not used it that often.. this is more of a ‘what I bought recently’ post than a review.

Have a great week.
