Hi Everyone!

Sorry for the delay of this post!.. It is tuesday today 😉 but my heading still says monday as I like to call it that..hehehe..

Yesterday was a rather busy day with husband down with a case of food poisoning and also had other errands to run. But today is a day to be inspired and I think I did a pretty decent job!… I do hope you all enjoy this look and feel inspired to go out there and get a teal eyeshadow!!!

Putting bright colours on my lids is not something that comes naturally or unnaturally to me at all!!.. I have always been super afraid of adding bright colours to my lids for fear of looking comical or just plain overdone!!

Then I saw this picture on Pinterest and I got interested in the idea.. sounds cheesy but its true.. the look is so cool for a lack of a better word!!..

And I saw other photographs for inspiration as well.. This is what I came up with..

I will admit it is not as dramatic as in the picture.. but I chose colours that I had and a look that suited me.. or so I think..;-)

I also wanted to show you the outfit so that you can get an idea of the entire look!

This look would be great for an evening out for the Upcoming Chinese New Year or any night time/evening look.

Now to show you the products I used 😉

For the eyes I used my foundation as a primer or base and then layered it with Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow in 40 Tenacious Teal, as this is a cream eyeshadow it did not have much fall out which is great!
I then used Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Palette to give my crease some definition and used the colour VDK and Busted.
I then added the silver colour from NYX – The Runway Collection Palette that I got sometime ago from Beauty Center in India. I dabbed on the silver in the middle of my eyelids to give it some extra sparkle.
At my tear duct area I applied a bright yellowy gold shadow from the same palette to open up the eye.
Then lined my eyes with Dolly Winks eyeliner pencil and for the bottom of my eyes used Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Pencil. And L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara to my lashes.

Now for the lips and cheeks..

For my lips I used Dior’s pencil lipliner in Candy Rose and Mac’s Up the Amp, for my blush and bronzer I used NARS Lovejoy!.(My go to blush that I absolutely love!!)

For my Foundation and concealer its the same Mac Prolong wear in NC42 but this time I mixed it with NC44 as the NC42 was too light for me somehow making me look odd in photographs;-) and my Pro long wear concealer in NW35. Now this is one of the most important steps when putting dark lipstick to get your foundation to look even as that makes the lipstick look a million times better!!

I also shaped my eyebrows with Dolly Winks eyebrow pencil. (Another must-do when putting on make-up)

You can also use a finishing spray or setting powder to set the look if you’re going to be spending quite a few hours with it. Fix Plus from Mac or even a setting Powder from Mac .. or any other brand of course! 😉

Hope you enjoyed this look. Please do comment if you liked it or have any ideas or suggestions!!
