Hope this week turns out to be really great for you 😉
Today I tried out a look using my recently purchased Revlon Colorburst crayon matte balm. The colour I got is called Unapologetic.. it is a very bright pinkish coral colour and so pretty!!.. is it a practical every day colour?..probably not so much as its a very bright almost neon but worn with the right make-up and clothes looks really nice… great for the spring and summer to wear on summer dresses and white tops!!!
Sorry about the chipped nail polish in the photograph ;( .
I got inspired after looking at this make up look by Jennifer hudson and wanted to try a similar look using this bright colour.
Its all about the lip colour and so I this is what I came up with.
I really like this colour and am hoping to get good use out of it this summer.. the matte balm is not too drying but after a while though may start to get drying.. so moisturise your lips well before putting this on.
It has a lovely creamy texture and sits very nicely on the lips.
with this close-up pic I hope you can see the true colour of the lipstick.
For the rest of my face I tried to keep it toned down with not too much blush and eyeshadow.
Products I used to achieve this look-
Macs prolong wear foundation in NC42, Pro long wear concealer in NW35
Macs paint pot in painterly over the eyelid as a base to help the other shadows stay on without creasing too much.
Macs eyeshadow in All that Glitters on the entire eyelid and then Amber lights in the corner and the crease and blended in.. also a matt darker brown in the crease and blended that to add a touch of smokiness to the eye.. then lined the eye with Lakme’s liquid eyeliner and for the bottom waterline used a smoulder by mac and Makeup Forever’s Aqua smoky lash mascara.
For the cheeks I added a very small amount of Nars blush in Lovejoy followed by Macs highlighter in Soft and gentle for a nice glow on your cheekbones.
Set this with macs pressed powder in Medium dark.
For the lips – Revlons Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic.
Thanks for reading.. hope you try out one of these colors this summer they are really nice 😉
