Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a great weekend. Here in Hong kong the weather is a bit dull, dreary and rainy;( … but last evening I had a great time as I went to watch Dallas Buyers Club and thought the movie was definitely worth the watch!. Excellent story and the acting was great too.

Today I had decided to wear my relatively new purchase of a blush coloured top from Daily look. This top is a very pretty blush colour and the drape makes it excellent to throw on any day of the week. I wanted to wear it with a skirt initially but since the weather was not appropriate for a skirt I decided to go with my trusty jeans and tan boots.

Pastel shades suddenly seem to be everywhere and I must admit to not really loving pastel shades on tan skin tones.. of course, it all depends on your skin tone and the tone of the pastel shade as warmer skin tones would look better with yellow/beige/soft coral tones and cooler skin tones would probably suit more cool undertones like soft pinks and lilacs.

I chose to pair my pastel blush coloured top with more warmer browns to add some warmth to the look as I think that makes it more suitable for tan skin tones. I also like soft yellows and mustards on warm toned tan skin. I chose to wear a soft peachy lipstick to compliment the pastel shade of the blouse but added some colour to my cheeks and eyes or else the look would be too ‘washed out’ .. that is my main concern when wearing pastels.
