Hi Everyone,

The weather here in Hongkong is still hot and humid and even though there are days when you feel like Autumn is setting in, it quickly turns around and is hot and humid again..sigh..waiting for the weather to cool down.

Today I went to Uniqlo to browse around and ended up getting this super comfy jogger style pant.. I love that its so comfortable and the material is a great thickness to take me into Autumn and winter. I have been wanting to try this sporty style for sometime but not really liked anything so far..today I came across this style and was happy to find that the fit was comfortable but not frumpy, which was my main issue with some that looked too baggy. I know many can carry off that super baggy comfortable style but its just not me..so when I tried this on I was very happy that it was fitted but not too tight and the material was very soft and stretchy.

And then I went to Zara and ended up with this t-shirt that I instantly got drawn to in the mens section as it was one of my favourite Bands tee..:-) Guns-N-Roses..hahaha..took me back to the 80’s/90’s 😉 and so I got it and paired it with my joggers for a sporty, comfy look.

The last two are available on the Uniqlo site, I could not find the exact same one I got but you should find it in the store.

Hi Everyone,

Hope your weekend is going great. Today is a wonderfully hot and humid day in Hong kong!!.. This jumpsuit, I found recently while browsing at Zara, as I normally do ;-).. I love it because its super convenient and super comfy. Just slip it on and you’re good to go!!. all you need are some nice shoes. I chose navy as I wanted to have a one colour look for a leaner me!

I don’t know how well that worked out, but it definitely is a very wear-and-go kinda outfit .. on days when you have no time to spend time on deciding what goes with what.. this jumpsuit will come to the rescue. I recently attended a friends dinner party and was so busy on the day that this was just what I needed and even though I thought of wearing something else but this was just so convenient that I went with it.. happy that I did as I reached on time and felt super comfortable through the entire evening.

Sorry I haven’t got any really good pictures today as it was already late and the light was not co-operating and the mosquitoes decided they would give me a taste!!.. sigh.

Now I will say I was lucky that this jumpsuit fit so well as it was a bit too low on the top in the beginning and I did use my minimal sewing skills to take up the straps, once I did that voila..it was a perfect fit. The shoes I also got at Zara and though they were the exact colour match and I loved the very on trend pointy toe, were not the most comfortable as they did run a bit big.. and I will need to add an insole to them for more comfort.

Hope you enjoyed this post and feel inspired to try on a jumpsuit the next time you see one as it may surprise you how super convenient they are, to have a nice one in your closet.

Outfit details

Hi All,

Hope you’re all doing great. Today I wanted to talk about fall/winter 2016 trends and what I myself look forward to adding to my closet for the upcoming fall/winter season. I already did a post on the shoes I have collected so far for the season and so would like to talk about what I would get to go with those 😉

The first trend I am excited about is

Faux Suede– Jackets, dresses and even shoes or bags !!..

I got my faux suede shoes and over the knee boots that I am looking forward to wearing and plan to pair them with skinny jeans and even wide leg trousers!

A few  great options I love ..

suede jacket

This faux suede jacket from ASOS is a great example of the suede trend in clothing. I love the colour of this jacket ,also its cropped length is great if you want to pair it with wide leg trousers or skinny jeans or even a skirt for that matter. ..its available on Asos

Also faux suede dresses are great option .. this one available at Nordstrom and would look  great with boots and a great jacket and some winter accessories and it would take you all the way through winter 😉

sude dress

Velvet- is another fall/winter 2016 trend.. velvet accessories too are a great option if you’re not sure if you want a clothing item in velvet. and

Wide-leg trousers seem to be everywhere and if styled right look great as an alternate to the straight or skinny leg trouser. This wide leg, embroidered trouser from Zara is a great option if you want three trends in one..hehehe..velvet, embroidered and wide-leg!

This particular one is available at Zara

The wide-leg trousers also look great with cropped sweaters or bodysuits which are another item that have come back in fashion lately!

This Velvet bodysuit from Zara available here is a great choice as it can be dressed up or down and on a skirt or trousers will look simple yet chic.

Another trend worth looking into is the frayed hemmed jeans.. this is such an easy trend to follow as its a cool way to get your jeans to look trendy and will suit everyone!!

This one here is quite extreme but you can see these hems everywhere and finding one that suits your taste should not be a problem 🙂

This particular one is available on ASOS here

Another trend this season is big, extreme sleeves and here is an idea what it looks like 😉

This top is available at Zara here. I have seen this trend a lot in tops and though cute can be a little difficult to wear on petite people a.k.a me!.. it can be a bit overwhelming and truth be told I haven’t found a style yet that is flattering on me ;(

One that I am excited about is lace it has been around for sometime now and even this season can be seen all over in dresses, tops and skirts etc. lace dresses and tops are so feminine and forgiving at the same time that its worth investing in a lovely lacy number this fall/winter ! 😉

This dress from Asos available here is so pretty and it s not all lace but the details make it even more interesting I think. I also find this top very pretty and easy to style.. it can be dressed down for a night out with jeans or up with a skirt and heels 😉

lace top

available here at Macy’s

Hope you enjoyed this post and look forward to adding some of these trends to your fall/winter wardrobe. There are of course many more trends that may be out there but I chose the ones I found fun and interesting, another one to look into is embroidered tops, bottoms etc.. its fun and a cute embroidered number may be just what you need to give your wardrobe that added punch and interest… so enjoy the trends and pick and choose the ones you find fun and flattering!! The pics I have inserted are all items currently available and I have provided the links to them at the bottom. Happy shopping!!

Enjoy your weekend and hope you have a great week ahead!

As always, stay stylish!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all have wonderful weather wherever you are! … here in Hong Kong its still summer and the weather is hot and humid and so this summer jumpsuit from Zara was calling out to me today 😉 I got it recently on the sale at Zara, its such a cool summery piece and I absolutely love the print on it.

jumpsuits are such a great option for summer as its like wearing a dress but it has the added convenience of having trousers at the bottom which make it ideal if you’re like me and dresses are something you have to be conscious of when wearing and sitting.. 😉

I am super happy with this particular piece as its demure and has a great length not too long, not too short.

I wore it with very simple jewellery as its such a bright, bold print that I did not want anything too chunky to clash with the print and style of the jumpsuit.

Hope you enjoyed this post and feel inspired to try jumpsuits yourself 😉 (if you dont have one in your closet already!)

Outfit details

Jumpsuit – Zara (found it on sale) but love this one here def on my radar for the upcoming fall and winter season 😉 and this one here from NEXT is very close to style I have on.

Bag – This bag is one I bought on my trip to Prague from a small boutique.. I love the colour for summer and this one here and here are also great options.

Shoes- ALDO (old) some great options here ( I like the block heal on this one and also the tie up style makes it very trendy) and here

Bracelet- F21, Earrings- Bought years ago, love these studs here, Watch- Daniel Wellington.Chain- Brandy Melville bought ages ago.

Enjoy the week ahead and stay stylish

Hi Everyone,

Today being Sunday wanted to do an outfit post. This outfit was inspired by the hot and humid and rainy weather here in Hong Kong!. It started out a rainy day which finally cleared up and went on to being hot, and sunny and humid!.. I know these jeans don’t really scream hot weather appropriate but they are ultra comfortable and flattering (or so I think) 😉 and so decided to go with them. A decision I did regret later as it was much too hot for jeans, and shorts or cotton trousers would have been a better choice.

The top is ideal for the hot and humid weather we are experiencing here in Hong kong and the cold shoulders give it a very trendy, modern feel. I love it for the beach and would be great to take on holiday as well. I know summer is almost coming to an end, but doesn’t feel like it here in Hong Kong.

Outfit details

Jeans- Gap, these are great as they are mid-rise and that is great when you’re over 40 and have a belly to hide!!.. (speaking for myself 😉 ) love these, available here

Top – Forever 21, similar style found here

Shoes – Marks and Spencers, similar style available here and here

Bracelet- Mango, Sunnies- Mango, Bag-Longchamp, Ring- Old, bought at flea market.

Hope you all have a great week ahead!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a wonderful week. I want to share some new shoes I got for the upcoming fall/winter season this year. I am terribly excited about them and look forward to using them over the next few months and bringing them out again next year!

I did manage to get all of them on sale so that is even more fun. Unfortunately the sale is over ;-( But I did manage to find the links to them. The first one is a pair I got from Steve Madden. These are the STEVE MADDEN TALLEN TAN SUEDE LEATHER PEEP-TOE BOOTIES

I am usually not one to wear high heels for too long but these are very comfortable because of the block heels. I love the tan suede and had been looking for shoes like these for ages. This shoe fit true to size I got my regular size which is a Uk37 in them or size 7 in the US.

This pair is ideal for the fall as its not a full bootie but provides coverage and also style.

steve madden

I found these on ASOS and think they are wonderful if you’re looking for a low healed version, although its a regular bootie and not peep toe. But I do love the style, the link for it can be found here

The next pairs I got from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They were at an excellent price and I love all three pairs!!.

I’ve always wanted a pair of over-the-knee boots and decided this was the year I was going to get them!. I found these on the sale, they are the Dolce Vita -‘Silas’ Over the Knee Boot (Women) and I don’t regret getting them as they are super comfortable. The heel is not high and the suede is on trend for fall and winter. I cannot wait to wear these with tights, skinny jeans or even short skirts and sweaters. the link for them is here, unfortunately they are no longer on sale.

These boots I got a size up as I always like to have my boots to have a bit of room for tights or socks I wear during the winter. So these are a UK38 or US size 8.

The next pair is a classic black peep toe from Tory Burch. I love the style, they are the Tory Burch- ‘Jade’ Peep Toe Wedge (Women) (Nordstrom Exclusive) I got it in a UK size 38 and US size 8. Now that is because my feet are a bit wide in the front and this style looked like it was narrow in the front so to avoid my feet getting too squished I decided to size up. Now they do run true to size, I may have to put in an insole but that’s ok as they are comfortable in the front and not too narrow. Thinking back I should have got these in a 37.5 or 7.5 US as they are also available in half sizes which is great. The shoe has a 3″ heel which is still comfortable because its a wedge. This is such a pretty shoe, great for any formal, or even informal event!

The link to these is here

tory burch

The last pair of shoes is a shoe that I love and I hope to wear these to special events and even nights out. They are from Vince Camuto, they are the Vince Camuto –‘Barsha’ Lace-up Pump (Women) (Nordstrom Exclusive) I fell in love with the style as they are so on trend for the fall and winter this year and I hope the next few years as well. I love these shoes, they are comfortable for being a 3 3/4″ heel. But look so good on the feet and are a very sturdy shoe. The neutral colour is great and goes with so many outfits I cannot wait to style these shoes!!.

The link to these shoes is here

vince camuto

The lace up trend is so in this year if you’re looking for a low heeled option I have a few links below that have some very cute options 😉

this one is from Nordstrom the link is here

Check out these on ASOS… here and here

Hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you some ideas or inspiration for shoes for the upcoming season.

Stay Stylish 🙂

Hi Everyone,

I finally decided to do a blog post today.. I love doing this and missed it a lot and so decided I’m going to keep doing it as long as I feel inspired to do these posts. Hope it brings you some joy and inspiration. 😉

Today I decided to wear my Zara dress, its been with me for a while and I’ve not had a chance to wear it to any formal occasions but this dress is so great for those times when you want something simple and classic.

Zara had many of these dresses out this season in different colours, It was hard to choose the colour I wanted but I finally decided on navy as its just a classic look on tan skin. The earrings I got were from an exhibition in HongKong where this lovely  Indian designer showcased her work. Her brand name is Chic Therapy. Loved her pieces as they were very bold and bright along with being on the dramatic side. Great to wear to amp up an otherwise simple outfit like this neutral coloured dress.

The bag I’m carrying was from the Zara sale.. its such a cute chanel inspired bag and I wanted to get it as soon as I saw it.. but didn’t as I wondered if I would use it as much to justify buying it but it was meant to be I guess as it went on sale and I knew it was a sign for me to get it..hahahaha.

Summer is almost coming to an end and the sales are everywhere, well actually now they are almost over sadly. Hopefully next year I can be more on top of things and give you some ideas, inspiration and tips on sale items.

I did take advantage of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and shipped a few things to me here in Honkong. I may do a post on the stuff I picked up and my views on them. still waiting for my birthday present which is from the sale to arrive and then I will do the post as they are shoes for fall!!…exciting!!

I will also try and do posts on fall trends and items to stock on when deciding on your fall/winter wardrobe. I have been doing quite a lot of research on whats in for fall/winter so hopefully can share my thoughts and ideas with you all soon.

Outfit details and ideas on where to get similar stuff below –

Dress- Zara, similar here I love this dress as it can be worn with boots and a structured coat for fall and leggings and boots in the winter. Sorry not in navy though.

Shoes – Macy’s bought long time ago, love this style here

Bag- Zara got on sale, similar style here its not silver but love the grey quilted effect with Navy or black!

Earrings – Chic Therapy found her page on Facebook check it out!

Bracelet – Accessorize

Have a great week ahead.

Hi All,

Hope you’re all having a great weekend. I know I have been away for a while, was not feeling really inspired and motivated to do blog posts and am sorry for that. Hope to stay more consistent. (fingers crossed)

My weekend is going great due to the fact the weather in Hong kong is warming up and even though its been raining its been pleasant without been too cold and windy.

The inspiration for this outfit came after I was looking for trousers that were suitable for the hot and humid summers we have here in Hong kong. I got this one at Zara and then had the task of styling ..I had found this shirt at Zara last year and have seen similar styles and cuts this year as well. Its cropped but not too much where it exposes any part of your midriff which is great for me!

I added pop of colour with my yellow bag as this made the outfit feel like summer is here!!

I love the slip ons I got at NEXT as they are ideal for someone like me who loves to have shoes that are ultra comfy but trendy as well.

Hope this outfit post inspires you to try a cool summer look. Have a great weekend.

Hi Everyone,

After a long break and not really feeling up to writing a post, I finally felt the need to do a post today!! I am sorry for the long absence and hope you all had a wonderful 2015 and all the very best for the year 2016!!

2015 definitely has been a year for me to finally come to terms with using up products I have and not jumping on the next trendy lip product or blush out there. I have some very good products that work for me and on my skin tone and so I feel like these are my go to products to use everyday as well as for any event, party, dinner date etc 😉

I will go through the make-up products that I absolutely love and use everyday or other day to be honest.

  1. Foundations

My favourite foundations for 2015 have to be two

Mac’s face and body in C5

This is one foundation that is such a beautiful formula as an everyday run-out-the-door foundation. It has a sheer to medium coverage and can be built up. I love the feel and texture of the foundation once applied.

MAC Face and Body Foundation comes in 13 shades, so you stand a good chance of finding a pretty good match.
The long-lasting, lightweight formula is also water resistant and so great for summertime, but I love it in the winter too.

NARS sheer glow foundation in Syracuse

Nars Sheer Glow is a foundation that makes your skin look luminous and has a very lovely subtle glow.  I love it for going out in the evenings or parties etc.. but it looks great during the daytime too. It has a lovely satin finish and with my mature skin gives it a glow without looking too shiny!  It has a liquid consistency and is very easy to blend into the skin.

2. Next lets talk about concealers – I always use an under eye concealer as I tend to have darkness under my eyes at all times :(( and for  that I am always on the look out for a good under eye concealer that will brighten up that area.

My two favourites for the past year have to be

Mac Pro longwear concealer in NW35

I love this concealer for it consistency and also for its long lasting formula. It lasts literally all day as long as you don’t go out in the sun all day.. that said it does last very well in hot, humid weather. It is also great during the winters. The colour is a tad bit orange for me and so I have to wear it with a foundation on top or add a more yellow base foundation to it if I don’t want to use foundation all over. But its a great cover up for darkness under the eyes.

NARS radiant creamy concealer in -Caramel

Oooh I must say this one is my favourite.. I love the colour match to my skin, I love the wand it comes with to apply the product which makes it ideal to use without wasting the product and I love that it lasts a long time too!. It is my Holy Grail concealer of the moment and the past year!!.

3. Primer

For my Primer this year I have used the Shu Uemura instant-glow immediate radiance skin perfecting cream

This has been great at keeping my make-up put during party season and just when I need my make-up to stay for a long time. I love its consistency and texture. I really don’t have much more to say about it other than I feel it does serve its purpose! 😉

4. Blush and Bronzer, and highlighter   – Under this category I have a few blushes I absolutely love and they are oldies but goodies!!..

  • NARS Blush in Lovejoy for a beautiful glow on the cheeks
  • Tarte Blush in Tipsy for a lovely peachy flush
  • NARS Blush in Amore for a lovely pink

These blushes have been my go to blushes and even though I have a few others I must say these are my favs 😉

For Bronzer I have only one and that is all I found the need to have so it must be good !;-)

NARS Bronzer in Casino – it s beautiful bronzer that is not shimmery or shiny but a nice matt finish and is great for tan to darker skin tones.

Highlighter – Again I have only one that is worth mentioning as that is the only one I have used in the past year Mac Soft and Gentle.. love it !

5. Eye Shadow Palette –  I will be honest and say I do not use eye shadow that often so do not need a lot of eye shadows.. I do have a few palettes collected over the years but my favourite one is hands down the Lorac Pro palette.. I love its range of matt and shimmery shades.. its a great palette for those of us who just need it once it a while and have beautiful neutral shades in just one palette. I love the formula and pigmentation of the eye shadows and also that is come is a sleek compact case that is so easy to travel with as its not bulky at all. One thing I would like to mention though is that the eye shadows and very pigmented and tend to have fall out so if you do get this palette be aware of that fact.

6. Eye brow Product – Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW  pomade in Medium Brown – This product is my jam!!..hehehe..I love it so much.. I have sparse eye brows which with pencils just were not looking that great.. but this pomade is so easy to work with and I love it!!..it has a gel consistency and you use it with an angled brush. It is very easy to work with although you have to be careful not to apply too much.. work with little and then add more if you need to.

7. Mascara -L’Oreal telescopic and Maybelline Rocket  -Since we are talking about eyes, my two favourite mascaras have been the L’Oreal Telescopic, I love this one for it lengthening and separating effect on the lashes and the Maybelline Rocket for its volume.

8. Eye liner– It has to be my Dolly Wink eye liner in black.. although recently I have been using the L’Oreal Super liner and think its fantastic too.. but throughout 2015 it was Dolly Wink!

9. Lipsticks – Here I can go wild.. I love lipsticks, period. I love wearing them, buying them, getting new shades.. I wear them everyday when I get the chance and why not!.. when you have them you wear them, do not stash them away to wear only on special occasions, wear them whenever you feel the need and get the chance!!.. thats my moto 😉

Some of my favs have to be

Mac Kinda Sexy –  A peachy nude shade

Mac Flat out fabulous– A bright pink shade

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade 07- Nude-ist – its a lovely Bright Pinky mauve on me and not Nude in any way!! .. hmmmm

NARS Velvet Matt Lip pencil in Cruella – Oooh one of my go to lipsticks if I have to wear red!!.

Revlon Colorburst lip balm in Sultry – This is a definite must buy for everyone!!.. its affordable and a lovely Mauve Pink shade that looks beautiful on tan skin!!.. I think this one has been recently mentioned a lot by other bloggers and you tubers as well.

Maybelline Matt lipstick in 655 daringly Nude – This is a true Nude and can be worn with a darker liner to give it more colour if it washes you. I love the shade but will always wear it with a lip liner ( Spice from Mac)

Lip Liners – I love using lip liners not only to line my lips but also give my lipstick some dimension. It can warm up or cool down colours of lipstick to make them suit your skin tone better.

My favs have to be Mac lip liners

Soar – A pinky mauve shade

Spice–  A browny pink

Cherry–  A beautiful Red

Burgundy – A lovely maroon

These are my most used shades.

With that I come to an end of my favourite make-up products for the year 2015!.. Hope you all enjoy this post and find something you would like to try. I do not give a very indepth review of each product as these are just the ones I have been using the most in the past year and just wanted to mention.

I am sorry I do not have many drug store options as in Hong Kong its very difficult to get shades to match Tan skin tones, especially for foundations and concealers so I tend to stay away as I only land up getting something too light for my skin tone. I know there are some great drug store foundations, concealers, blushes etc out there and hope to try them when I go to India or Canada but as of now these are my choices.

Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful year ahead!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great week and looking forward to doing something exciting for Halloween!!.

Want to talk to you about my recent short trip to Vietnam. I am someone who loves to travel and every travel destination I make is always something that gives me a lot of happiness and pleasure.  We went for a very short break over my sons mid-term holidays. The aim was a place nearby and within the budget 😉 .. we finally chose Da Nang, Vietnam. It is a short hour and a half flight from Hong Kong which made it ideal for such a short trip.. it was off season as its now monsoon or rainy season there but we were lucky as even though it did rain, it only rained in the night and was pleasant and also a bit hot during the day. Overall, a great destination for a super relaxing and fun trip.

I love to sample the food of the place I go to and this place is ideal for delicious seafood and great coffee!!.so yes, my holiday was set.. the beach, good food and drink.. happy, happy me!!

Here is a little exert from the web telling you a bit about Da Nang.

Da Nang
City in Vietnam
Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It’s a popular base for visiting the inland Bà Nà hills. Here the Hải Vân Pass has views of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains, 5 limestone outcrops that are home to pagodas and caves containing Buddhist shrines.

I hope in this post to tell you a bit about the place and also show you my travel outfits for a beach trip.. hope you enjoy 😉

We arrived at Da Nang airport early in the evening and were surprised to see it was already dark.. apparently it turns dark by 6 pm there during this time of year!!.. Anyways, we took a taxi to our Resort which turned out to be way out, away from the hustle and bustle of Da Nang city centre. This was good and bad as we would find out in the days ahead.

The villa we stayed in was huge and we were excited as we are usually used to staying in a hotel room that you are forced to all be in the same room as each other all the time.. here we had a living room, kitchen and two bedrooms so it was a refreshing change  ;-).. my husband could watch his football games, my son could sit and watch his anime on his computer and I could walk around doing silly things, without being in each others way!!.

Sorry I dont have a full view of the villa ;-(

The first day we just went to dinner as it was already dinnertime when we reached, the next day too was a lazy day by the beach and just chilling .. doing nothing much.. we had lunch at the resort and went out to the City centre for dinner.. sadly we had not researched well and ate at a restaurant that food was nothing special, but we lucked out on the coffee house just next to it called Cong Cafe.. I had some delicious Coconut coffee which was like a dessert and an  after dinner drink in one.. yumm

We planned for the next day though as we wanted to put in a day of sight seeing.. my husband had read about the marble mountains and the village of Hoi An.. both of which we decided to do on the same day.. yes tiring but then we planned to rest the day after .. 😉

The Marble Mountains which were about half an hours drive were nothing spectacular to look at I must admit, but going into the cave built into the mountain was quite an experience and that is where I was wowed by the marble carvings and the inside of the mountain..

Now I will admit that though the trek into the mountain was very interesting and awe inspiring it was also a little bit creepy and scary to me.. lets just say some of the carvings were very unnerving .. but it was a trip worth the effort. Also, as you may notice in the snaps.. I was extremely hot and sweaty ;-(

After a trip to the mountain and oh yes, first to the marble shop where we were taken by our taxi driver .. who thought that would be more fun for us than actually seeing the mountains??

Sadly we had to spend time there looking at stuff we didn’t intend buying. The stuff was good and if I had a bigger house here in Hong Kong I would have got something but I wasn’t interested as I have no space for any more statues!

After that whole experience we set off for lunch to the village of Hoi An, which according to the tourist guide is a must see.. so yeah.. off we went.. and yes, the taxi driver decided he knew the best place for us to eat.. which turned out to be this small restaurant run by a local family..it was good.. we had chicken rice and bbq pork served with rice paper and fresh veggies, and grilled pork with rice and also, baby clams with rice and fresh veggies which had a lot of mint leaves!.. all washed down with some tiger beer and coconut water for my son.

Some pics of the village of Hoi An..

Hoi An was definitely worth exploring more but we didn’t have the time and were tired from our earlier trip to the marble mountains so decided to head back to Da Nang and get ready to try some local cuisine.

Oh yes, on our way back we decided to check out the Han market which is in the City Centre.. but unfortunately nothing interesting there.

Some local foods and salted fish, coffee etc.. and shoes and clothes on the next level but nothing that caught my interest ;-(

The next day we spent at the hotel, relaxing in the morning.. in the evening since it was our last day there decided to go for a well deserved seafood dinner.. again upon the recommendation from our local taxi driver we went to this seafood restaurant that served all sorts of fresh seafood..ready to be ordered and served how you liked it… fried, bbq etc.. they would tell you the options they offered.. we did have quite a spread by the time I was done with the ordering.

Fresh oysters served with lemon.

Beef fried rice.

Scallops cooked with onion and friend onion on top.

Lobster fried with garlic.. the name of the restaurant was Cua Do Restaurant on My Khe beach.

Some other food we enjoyed was the Vietnamese Beef salad , (pictured below).. also the Beef soup noodles. I did not eat any pho when I was there sadly as I wanted to sample other foods..

That was the end of our adventures in Da Nang.. it was off to the hotel.. and pack and sleep as next day we would be taking our flight back to Hong Kong.. it was a short fun trip.

Outfits of the day in  Da Nang -Now for my outfits and things I carried on this trip with regards to fashion and beauty… I was limited to 7 kgs by my husband who did not want to wait for check in bags .. sigh.. so I complied.. but it was tough.. I took just one bag and a hand bag.. shocker.. yes, to me definitely.

I put in two pairs of shorts and a 4 tops.. a shirt and two dresses.. but I must pat myself on the back as I did not overpack which I always tend to do. I put in shoes and a bag that would match all my outfits.. hehehe.. a white pair of sandals and silver pair of flip flops and wore my walking shoes as they were the heaviest.. oooh and I got the pair I am wearing with my black dress from Da Nang.. cheap and comfy.. but not very durable.

For my beauty essentials… my most important was my GHD straightener.. sadly because of the humidity my hair looks anything but straight!!

My other beauty products I managed to put in my toiletry bag that has separate compartments and a hanging hook.. which was so great as I could hang it in the bathroom 😉 got it at Victorias Secret some time back.

I took only the bare necessities when it came to make-up as I didn’t need all that much for a five day trip!.. where two days were really just travelling to and fro.

Hope you enjoyed reading this long post and got some ideas or inspiration to plan your next short get away.
